See that weird-looking lady on the cover of Seth Godin's new book? Her name's Annie Kenney. She died about 70 years ago, but the reason you and I are talking about her right now isn't because of how photogenic she is (lol), it's because of one small but *courageous* action she took at a town hall meeting in the English Parliament...

Yah see, good old Annie here, is one of the early ruckus-makers that fought for a basic women's right that gets taken for granted all day long -- the right to vote.

She pushed back in the middle of a discussion about women's suffrage; demanding to be heard ... demanding to be given the *right* to vote. And because of this courageous act in the name of women's rights, Annie Kenney thrown in jail for several days ... But you know what?

Annie *stepped up* for what she believed in that day in Parliament...

And it's thanks to people like her -- people willing to take their turn in the name of what they believe in and care about -- that women were given the right to vote in that part of the world.

Millions of women could've stepped up that day. But they didn't. Annie did.

And she made history because of it.
