Are you feeling a little down and unmotivated? Maybe you feel as though you are run down and feel as though you need to speak to someone about it. Either way, these are the top signs that you should seek professional help right away.
Stress is just Too Much
Stress is ultimately a biological response. It’s what happens when your brain sees a threatening situation. Neurotransmitters within the brain trigger the amygdala and it is this part of the brain that is responsible for the fight or flight response in the brain. Typical causes of stress include major changes happening within your life. This could include going through a divorce or even going through financial issues. Stress might well be a part of life but if you are undergoing prolonged stress then this can lead to you experiencing negative health effects. This could include anxiety or it could include experiencing more pain than you normally would.

You’re Drinking too Much
If you are drinking too much then this is a major sign that you need to be seeking mental health support. It may be that you are consuming alcohol in the morning or that you are drinking too much at the weekend. Either way, if this sounds like you then you have to seek mental health support immediately. You may find that you end up struggling more as a result too. If this sounds like you then make sure that you get help now.
Anxiety is Debilitating
Anxiety can be very similar to stress at the end of the day. It is your brain’s response to having a perceived threat. If you are concerned that you are experiencing anxiety then you may find that symptoms include having a faster heart rate as well as having extra tension. You may also find that you end up having repetitive periods of worry and that you also struggle to unwind. Over time, this can lead to even more issues, to the point where you are not able to function. If you struggle with things like this then you need to try and speak with someone about it so you can get the help you need.
Depression is now Normal
Depression is a very common mental condition and at the end of the day, it does impact your ability to function. You may find that your neurons are not able to connect as easily in the brain and that you end up struggling more than you should with things. Some of the symptoms of depression include you gaining weight and you may also find that you experience feelings of sadness. On top of this, you may find that you experience feelings of loss and no enjoyment in the activities you once loved. If you feel as though you do need help then it is important to know that support is out there and that it is possible for you to just speak with someone if you need to get something off your chest. Keep that in mind if you can.
